The first thing Neil and Max always used to say when thinking or talking about Nigel was his claim that he had a ‘natural waking time’ and this was the reason he didn’t like early starts. He would say “I stir at 8.30, but my natural waking time is 9.30. that’s the problem…..”. We use that excuse all the time. He was such a funny man x
